Tanya Winch

Beyond her work as a financial advisor, Tanya meets with Vicki and Meghan to determine budgetary costs and business forecasts, and hosts weekly staff meetings. Along with Meghan, she spearheaded a recent exterior renovation that earned Winch Financial the Appleton Northside Business Association Image Award. Tanya also heads up the company’s very active charitable donation program, which earned Winch Financial the 2022 Fox Cities Chamber Corporate Citizenship/Leadership Award. After multiple years managing an executive suite building it from the ground up, Tanya made a move to the vibrant city of Austin. She began working with Winch Financial in a remote business development role, which culminated in her gaining her registered investment advisor representative designation. After crafting financial seminars for both Austin and Appleton, Tanya brought on her first Austin client. Tanya sees most of her clients at her kitchen table with virtual help from Daisy or Beth. She also meets daily with the investment team. Tanya holds a BA in Communication from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Outside the office, Tanya and her husband Doug, an IT professional, who are both also professional musicians, play in an Austin-based band. In her spare time, Tanya teaches private music lessons and is a music mentor to kids in foster care through “Kids in a New Groove.” She has been named Mentor of the Year twice during her tenure with the group. Matt Weyers

Matt holds both an insurance license and a Series 65 certification. He also works with businesses on their buy/sell agreements and key man insurance policies. In addition to his work with Winch Financial clients, in which he analyzes insurance needs and make suggestions regarding life insurance, long-term care insurance and estate planning, Matt teaches classes and hosts seminars. Outside the office, Matt, an avid outdoorsman, and his wife Jillayna, a teacher, are the parents of two small children. Christian Peterson, CMT®

He is also a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and achieved his FINRA Series 65 designation and his Chartered Market Technician (CMT®) designation. Eventually he plans to earn his Certified Financial Planner designation as well. A featured speaker for the Learning in Retirement program through the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, Christian also has taught classes at the University of Wisconsin – Fox Valley. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in History and has worked as the business manager for high profile outlets like Best Buy, Whole Foods and Goldblatt’s Department store. Christian and his wife, Paula, an artist, have two children. Get to know Christian better: What was you first job:  Washing dishes at a restaurant when I was 16. Describe your most memorable vacation:  My family has been vacationing at the same lake in Northern Indiana since I was 4 years old.  No place else I’ve ever been compares to the beauty, warmth and sense of total relaxation that a day on the waters of lake Maxinkukee provides for the soul. Coffee or tea:  Coffee Cat or dog: Dog Best book you ever read: I don’t know if it’s the “best” book I’ve ever read, but Jane Jacob’s The Death and Life of Great American Cities was extremely influential for me.  I was a history major in college and this was the first book I read that dealt with economics and public policy.  It is a critique of the “Urban Planning” fad that was prominent during the 1960s and 1970s.  It got me interested in economics and finance and put me on a path that led me to where I am today. What is your favorite season:  Fall.  The colors are best, and the sense of wistful nostalgia that the close of summer brings is just incomparable.

Adam Winch, ChFC®

A registered investment advisor representative since 2008, Adam has worked for Winch Financial since he graduated summa cum laude from Luther College in 2006. Initially, he worked as an advisor, meeting clients and analyzing investment opportunities. Currently, he is both a financial advisor and an analyst with the investment team. Adam recently earned the prestiguous Chartered Financial Consultant designation, having passed seven core curriculum courses and an additional course on contemporary applications in financial planning. As a ChFC, Adam honors the fiduciary standard and will always work in the best interest of his clients. Sam Winch

A frequent lecturer, Sam has taught classes at UWO-Fox Cities and through the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh’s Learning in Retirement program. Sam holds several licenses including Series 65, health and life insurance. He juggles several roles at Winch Financial as president, an investment analyst and an advisor. Previously, he worked as a representative for both Securities America and Woodbury, which gives him added insight into the analysis and review of commissionable products. As a registered investment advisor representative, Sam enjoys a large client base and meets with investors regularly to discuss their retirement goals, financial opportunities and progress. He also makes allocation suggestions and coordinates with members of the investment department to optimize portfolios. Sam is a proud husband to Meghan and father of three sons.
